SEO Tutorial-01: Page Title, Meta Descriptions And Meta Keywords Optimization.
Site/Blog Title Tag.
For a webpage, the title tag is of utmost importance. It tells the user and the search engine of the contents, the webpage holds in it. In other words, it may be said that, a title is the substance of a webpage. You will be required to select such a unique title for your website, which has no parallel or match in respect of its ‘title’, with any other website in the world of internet. However, sometimes coincidence cannot be ruled out, notwithstanding your best efforts to avoid confusion.
When we behold (see) the search result in the browser, then, the page title is beheld (seen) first of all in the first line. The following image illustrates as far as possible clearly what is said here:
The keyword, with which, the user will launch a search, if visible in bold letters, in the search result page, (that is, the page title) in its complete form, will tremendously result in the increase of the traffic (visitors) manifold times. Select such a page title, which becomes compatible with the contents of the subject-matter of your writes-up in your webpage. You are discouraged from selecting a lofty title, which brings many unnecessary words in the title, and also it results in a partial exhibition of the title by the Google. The best of all for you to have a title ‘short’ in sight, ‘relevant’ in contents and ‘rich’ in varieties of information.
Meta Description:
Write briefly about the contents in your page, in the “description” of the meta tag. It throws light (gives an idea) about/on the contents of the page to the Google and all other search engines. You can write this description in 02/03 lines. The Google and the other search engines may think of the meta description as to be the ‘substance’ of the contents of that page of your. “May think” has been said, as because, if any portion of the contents of the page, tallies straightly too much, with that keyword, with which the user has launched his search, that “tallied portion” may be shown in the search result of the search engine.

If this ‘substance’ contains the keyword used by the user, in the meta description, that will be shown in bold letters. Look at the picture of the writing of “HTML Tutorial” in bold letters, written by the user, in the search result. It gives a signal to the user about the amount of similarity with the page, which he/she is looking for. So, give the meta description, in such a way, at the very sight of which in the search result, the user is led to think that, your’s is the page, which contains all the necessary information, sought (wanted) by him (user). You are advised not to copy any portion of the contents of the page, and also not to paste that in the meta description. You had rather write down a brief ‘substance’ of the contents of the page.
Mata Keywords:
Meta keywords are such a few keywords, which are based on the contents of a site. This in other words means, before you have embarked upon making a ‘site’ finally, you must have to ponder (think) a lot, about the ‘subject matter’, upon which you are going to make your site. For example, suppose you want to create a site completely anew, the main subject-matter of which is, ‘Music’. Now, if you want to uphold the identity of your site, the meta keyword may be as: Meta name=“keywords” content=“accurate music, accurate music system, etc”/>
However, these keywords have been cited just for the sake of an ‘Example’.
