Welcome you all my visitors and readers cordially. Today I am going to discuss some important matter related to the SEO, the names of which are ‘ SEO Link Structure’ and ‘Site Navigation Optimization’.
SEO Link Structure:
Keep the site’s link structure in a simple and understandable way, so that, the search engine and the user face no difficulty in reading and understanding the contents in it. Sometimes, some sites belong to such link structures that, which are at all not understandable to the user, which may cause frown of disgust to the user. Hence, the best of all is for you is, to go for such words, the very sight of which create an impression about the webpage upon the mind of the user, rather than using the ID or an unintelligible parameter in the site link structure.
When you launch a search for anything, then, notice a long link in the ‘address bar’ of your ‘browser’. This is the link, which is called ‘link structure’. Abstain from using the session ID or unnecessary parameter in the site’s SEO link structure. Observe the image given below. This is an example of an unintelligible link structure and this is not SEO friendly.
![]()
Rather, have the link structure as follows:
http://www.pleasetellmehow.com/category/forex-trading/
You will have to abstain yourself from using the excess words without necessity in the URL. You had rather keep a single URL for each page or content. If the same page has more than one URL, the search engine may think each of those pages as an individual one, and also may distribute the ranking accordingly.
There is a method called 301 redirect method. If you see that, one of the pages of your site has a few URLs, then, you can redirect all of your URLs to a preferred URL, with the help of that 301 redirect method. From your cpanel, you can put your 301 redirect method through the htaccess file. You can bring about this change, by writing ‘code’ in this file (htaccess) of the apache server (such as: cpanel). However, if you do not like to use the 301 redirect method, you can use the Canonical URL.
Site Navigation Optimization:
Make/create navigation basing on the ‘home page’ or ‘main page’, so that, the user can traverse/visit you from the ‘home page’ to all the pages of your site, and also the user can understand, what page he/she is visiting now. Use the breadcrumb method for this purpose. Such as:

Let the user if he/she wishes to deface a certain part of the URL, and then, wants to get to a directory or page above, let him/her do so at his/her sweet will. Take care so that, ‘404 error page not found’ or any other kind of error is not shown/exhibited. To cite an example: if the user is staying at the location below, and defaces the ‘oophp’ portion from the browser’s ‘address bar’, then let him be made arrangements so that, he can go over to the previous page, without showing any erroneous (that is full of errors) message.
Use the text link to get to the site’s navigation, that is, getting from one page to the another page. This helps the search engine to index your site effectively. If the navigation happens to be the JavaScript, Flash or Drop Down menu, in such a situation, many a search engines get tired, and in some cases, many search engines cannot crawl at all.
