USA, Land Of The El Dorado-01.

The United States of America is the mightiest power politically, economically and militarily in the world. Never ever before in the known history of the world, has a country risen to such omnipotence in all the required criteria, which makes a nation so mighty and omnipotent, as the USA. This mighty country covers an area of 3,794,100 sq miles (9,826,675 km²). There lives an approximate population of 320 million in this vast country of the continent of North America. There are 50 states in the USA, of which Alaska is the largest in area covering 663,267 sq miles (1,717,854 km²). It is situated at a distance of more than a thousand miles (1600 km) from the mainland of the USA, separated from the USA by the presence of the territory of the British Dominion of Canada. The 53-mile (85 km) Bering Strait separates the USA from the Russian Federation.

george washingtonmap of usaOn the 04th July, 1776, the original 13 British colonies of North America, proclaimed their independence of Britain over the matter of taxation. The colonial people, a great majority of whom, had migrated to these colonies from Britain within 200 years of discovery of the American continents by Christopher Columbus of Portugal in 1492, protested against ‘unjustified taxation’ imposed by the British Government of His late Majesty King George-III (King George The Third), without their (colonial people’s) representation in the London Parliament. The American war of independence continued for long 07 years till 1783, when with tearful eyes in the British Parliament, King George-III declared that, Britain’s North American colonies had wrenched their independence of Britain, after the ignominious defeat and surrender of the last 32,000-strong British Army at the hand of the colonial people’s Army Commander-in-Chief General George Washington (1732-1799). Unlike Britain’s wars in the then crumbling Mughol Indian Empire, the wars fought in the 13 British colonies in North America, at a distance of more than eight thousand miles away from Britain in Europe, were really expensive, exhaustive, inconvenient and dreadful, as because the colonial people inherited some tactics and war strategies from their former blood-related forefathers of Britain; whereas the wars fought by the British East India Company’s Army Commander Lieutenant Colonel Lord Clive, Lieutenant General Lord Wellesley, Major General Napier and other British Generals in India, were easier than that of the American war of independence, because, the Indian Rajahs, Maharajahs, Nowabs, Princes and the other nobility were not much acquainted with the modern warfare tactics and arms and ammunitions, followed and used by the British Army. At last, those former 13 British colonies formed into a completely new independent country called the Republic of the United States of America, with General George Washington as their Father of the Nation and the ever first President, a title for a Head of State, unheard of before in the history of the world, amongst then prevailing hundreds of thousands of hereditary rulers like Emperor, King, Prince, Rajah, Maharajah, Maharana, Nowab, Duke, Grand Duke, Duchess, Baron, Baroness, Marquis, Ameer, Sheikh, Sultan, Tunkoo etc.

Unlike the European and the Asian countries, the countries of the continents of North America, South America and Australia, do not have any hereditary feudal lord system. It is because, all these three continents were discovered after the European Renaissance of 1453. America was discovered by Columbus in 1492, while Australia was discovered by the British Navy’s Captain Cooke in 1788. Moreover, the importance of the feudal system of society was greatly and gradually lost, along with the advent and invention of numerous scientific and technological devices of manufacturing industries, as a result of the European Industrial Revolution of 1762. Great advancements in all the branches of education and knowledge, has also reduced the importance and influence of the feudal lords in the different societies of the countries of the world. It is because of the stated and many other unstated reasons that, the people of the United States of America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and also the people of the countries of South America, did not have to digest the impact of the feudal lordships. As a result, the citizens of the USA, were and are born in a completely free economy and democratic society. This certainly does not mean that, everything is beautiful with the USA and its people. That cannot be and also that should be not be expected. In fact, the post European Renaissance events, and particularly the European Industrial Revolution plus the French Revolution of 1789, have together brought about a revolutionary change in the entire gamut of governance, production, manufacturing and educational systems of the world, of which, the USA and its talented citizens are the major beneficiaries, today.

In the today’s unipolar world, the USA is the lone super power. It has occupied this second to none place in the world, particularly after the fall of the erstwhile Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics  (USSR) in 1991. No country in today’s world, can deny the direct and indirect socio-economic, political and military influence of this most powerful country. The US Dollar is now the most important and dependable international currency. It is the world’s largest economy. It maintains more than one thousand military bases in different countries of the world. Its language—English, is the international language. Its Navy owns twelve aircraft carriers, which have been deployed in the different strategically important locations of the seas and oceans of the world. It has the largest Navy and Air Force in the world. In fact, it is the strongest Policeman among the nations of the world. Out of its 03 million 794 thousand and 100 square miles of area, an area equivalent to the size of the Republic of India, is populated, and still there remains an area of nearly 2.5 million square miles uninhabited by people. It is said, if God ever decided to visit this world of ours physically, He would first of all undoubtedly decide to land in this El Dorado of worldly pleasures, and heavenly blessings.
